Shanghai, China

On our way to Delhi we had a connection in Shanghai. Ukrainians can get a free 144-hour transit visa, so we decided to have a longer connections and stayed here for 2 days.
We stayed in a hotel in the city center, near to Nanjing Road - the main shopping street in town. It has lots of malls and cafes and you can have a ride in a little trolley 😀
Shanghai, as any other major Chinese city has heavy air pollution. The air quality index here goes from 150 to 400 points, while 50 is considered normal. Bellow is the view from our hotel window, it was ok on the first day, but the next days it got worse.
Visited Yu Garden - a traditional Chinese garden, which has a giant tourist shopping center around it.
In the evening we wanted to walk to the waterfront and stuck in a pedestrian traffic jam. Thousands of people wandering around the street from shop to shop. The police is trying to maintain some order and directs people in one way, so you can only walk in one direction on one sidewalk.
