New Delhi, India

After Kathmandu we arrived to New Delhi, from where we flew back to Germany later. Having heard a lot of scary stories about terrible living conditions in India, we decided to book a hotel a bit more expensive in a bit more fancier part of town
After all Delhi turned out to be a nice city, compared to Kathmandu it was far ahead.
We've settled in the south part of town in the neighborhood called Hauz Khas. It's a gated community where wealthy indians are living.
This year on March 13th a Holi festival was held in India. It is also known as a festival of colours. Everyone has a day off this day and throws paint at each other  The owner of our hotel advised us not to go to crowded places if we didn't wanted to get painted. It's impossible to wash out the paint from your clothes.
I've put my worst clothes and went to visit some not-crowded places
First I went to Lodi Gardens. It's a small beautiful park in Delhi with architecture from 15th century. There were not a lot of people here and nobody was throwing any paint
After that I went to India's Gate - a war memorial to Indian Army soldiers who died in first world war. Here were a bit more people and I got painted by some kids running around  From here I walked to the Parliament, but it was closed for visitors.
Traffic in Delhi is packed, but not as chaotic as in Kathmandu.
In a couple of days I've also visited Lotus Temple - the main temple of Bahai religion in India.
Not far away from our hotel, next to a park was a place called Social Cafe. It's a place where fancy rich locals go for a night out or a dinner. They have pretty good food here.
