Lisbon is the capital and the biggest city in Portugal. It is also the oldest city in Western Europe.
On the day when we went to Lisbon the weather wasn't nice, it was cloudy.
There has been a tramway network in Lisbon in operation since 1873.
There are old trams running in the city center on touristic routes.
Most of the time those trams are full of tourists.
April 25th Bridge is a suspension bridge in Lisbon.
Because it has similar coloring, it is often compared to Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Actually, it was built by the same company which constructed San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, but not the Golden Gate.
On the next day the weather was better and we stopped by in Lisbon once more on our way to the beaches.
The city left mixed impressions on us. There are many abandoned buildings right in the city center.
Some streets are dirty and dusty, some streets are renovated.
