On the weekend we decided to go somewhere with our new colleague. We checked the map and in 2 hours drive radius from Dusseldorf was Belgian city Liege.
On Sundays there’s a street market.
Everything is sold there - from underwear to fresh fish.
Some kind of mast on the square.
Old town.
Bakery.
Interiors shop.
Streets.
Christmas market, like Weihnachtsmarkt in Germany.
Government.
Very old houses.
Went on a hike on route called "Coteaux de la Citadelle"
There are some good views on this hike.
Narrow stairways.
Tavern.
Spanish stairway "Montagne de Bueren". It has approximately 400 steps.
View from up top.
View from Citadel Park.
Liege-Guillemins train station.
Open air train station, it was built as a part of Belgian high speed railroad.
There's a queue to ice skating ring in fron of the station.
Exhibition.
There are no walls in this train station, just a giant roof made of glass.
Next to the train station we found an abandoned old church.
It was all covered in paintings by local vandals (or artists?)
There's a strange building next to the church.
And a park, dedicated to first and second world wars.
Rusty monument of soviet soldiers.
