Ko Mai Thon is a private island close to Phuket, it's about 15 minutes away by speedboat. This island was gifted by the king to its current owner, probably for some outstanding merit 
The owner decided to let tourists in, but in very limited amounts - not more than 200 people per day. You can only get here with a travel company booking.
There is also a hotel on the island, but it's closed for renovation after 2004 tsunami. According to our guide, the owner is not very eager to finish the renovations and not going to open the hotel any time soon.
Lunch and bar is also included in the trip price. Seafood and local cuisine is offered for lunch. You can also order smoothie, juice, tea or coffee in the bar during the day. Everything looks very good
