After Bhutan we spent 10 days in Kathmandu. We've settled near to Swayambhu Stupa in the Swayambhu View Guest House.
There we had a nice small room, a common kitchen, big green garden and a rooftop terrace.
It was our corner of calm and cleanness in the chaotic and dusty Kathmandu.
One of the houses on the street nearby had interesting mural on the wall.
Stupa and temple complex Swayambhunath are located on top of the hill.
On the foot of this hill there is Buddha-park. There you can find big new statues and stupas.
On the north-east of the city there is one more temple complex - Boudhanath.
In the middle of this complex is a big buddhist Stupa. Around this Stupa there are many tibetan monasteries from different schools.
Boudhanath is considered to be the center of tibetan buddhism in Nepal.
The Stupa was built in VI century and mentioned in many historical documents.
The way from Tibet to India was going through Boudhanath and many pilgrims stayed here.
